Αθήνα, 17 Νοεμβρίου 1973. Μετά την τριήμερη εξέγερση του Πολυτεχνείου Αθηνών, το χουντικό καθεστώς αποφασίζει να παρέμβει χρησιμοποιώντας στρατιωτική βία και να καταστείλει τις διαδηλώσεις που απειλούν την κυριαρχία του. Στις 17/11/1973 τανκς περικύκλωσαν το Πολυτεχνείο Αθηνών και ένα από αυτά μπήκε στις εγκαταστάσεις κατεβάζοντας την κεντρική πύλη.
